We are having a community art build and garden party (including demos of the solar/rain barrel systems and the chance to help plant veggie starts) next Saturday!

All friends of the Coalition to Abolish Death By Incarceration, Holobiont Laboratory, Straight Ahead, and more are welcome to join us on Saturday May 14 from 2-5 pm at our new patio and garden space, ABOLITION PLAZA (at 4201 Powelton Street)!

We’ll have:

  • Food and drinks
  • Screen printing station with Erik Ruin
  • Banner making
  • Sign making (supplies provided!)
  • Demos about the garden and patio space including an overview of our rainwater and solar systems
  • Gardening supplies to get the garden beds started
  • And more!

We hope you will join us to bring the warmth of loving community to our outdoor space, and to help us prepare art for the upcoming CADBI rally in Harrisburg on May 25th. We’ll have multiple participatory activity stations set up, aimed at people of all ages. Kids and loved ones are most welcome.

Bring a snack or beverage to add to the mix if you’re able.

But more than anything, bring yourself!

We look forward to seeing you all there. Swing through for half an hour or stay and hang out for the whole afternoon!
